FAQs

International Medical Tourism & Health Screening at UK Medicare Screening Ltd

1. Who can book a lifestyle or preventive health screening?

Any adult, family, or corporate traveller visiting the UK. No GP referral is required.

2. How long does the screening process take?

Most packages take 2–3 hours. Reports are available within 48–72 hours.

3. What makes your screening "preventive"?

Our model detects risk early — but also addresses it. Each plan includes a clinical lifestyle strategy (diet, fasting, supplements, exercise).

4. Can I combine medical screening with leisure travel?

Yes — many clients combine a London health check with sightseeing or business travel. We can help plan hotel stays and transfers.

5. Do you assist with visas or letters of medical invitation?

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, we issue a visa support letter for UK medical entry purposes.

6. What if my test results show a problem?

Our GP will discuss next steps and, if required, refer you to leading specialists within 24 hours through our partner hospitals.

7. Can I access results from abroad?

Yes. All reports are securely uploaded to your MyHealth App for access anywhere in the world.

8. Is UKMSC regulated and insured?

Yes. UKMSC is CQC registered, GDPR-compliant, and all clinicians are GMC licensed with full indemnity coverage.

1. What is medical tourism, and how does UK Medicare Screening support international patients?

Medical tourism simply means travelling abroad to access quality healthcare.

At UK Medicare Screening, we specialise in international preventive medicine — helping patients from around the world access advanced diagnostics, genetic testing, and GPled health management in London.

Our International Patient Coordination Team arranges every step — from appointment scheduling, airport transfer, to test results and follow-up care abroad.

2. Do I need a visa to visit the UK for medical treatment?

Most patients use a Standard Visitor Visa (Medical).

We can issue a formal invitation letter once your appointment is confirmed to support your visa application.

Our team provides supporting documentation and contact details for your local British Embassy if required.

3. How soon can I get an appointment after contacting UKMSC?

We guarantee appointments within 48 hours for international visitors.

Our International Desk coordinates your arrival schedule, so your full health screening is ready the moment you land.

4. How long does the health screening process take?

Most full-body screening packages take 2–3 hours in clinic.

Results are typically available within 48–72 hours, and your GP will follow up with you via video consultation or email report.

5. Do you offer genetic, DNA, or microbiome testing for overseas patients?

Yes. Our Executive and Platinum Packages include DNA, nutrigenetic, and microbiome testing — giving insights into your metabolism, nutrition, ageing, and disease risk.

Samples are processed in UK-accredited laboratories, and results are securely shared through your MyHealth App portal.

6. Can I use my international health insurance for payment?

Yes.

We accept insurance letters of guarantee (LOGs) and direct billing from approved providers, including:

Bupa Global, AXA PPP, Cigna, Allianz Care, and Clements Worldwide.

If you are self paying, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and bank transfers.

7. What languages do your staff speak?

We offer multilingual assistance for our international clients, including:

English, French, Arabic, Mandarin, and Spanish.

You can request an interpreter when booking.

8. Can you arrange airport transfers and accommodation?

Yes.

For Executive and Platinum clients, we provide airport pick-up and drop-off through our chauffeur partners.

We also work with several luxury hotels near the clinic — including the Chelsea Harbour Hotel and Millennium Gloucester Hotel — with preferential rates for UKMSC patients.

9. How do I receive my test results once I return home?

All results are uploaded securely to your MyHealth App account.

Your assigned GP will conduct a tele-consultation to explain your results and advise next steps.

We can also send a medical summary to your local doctor upon request.

10. Is your clinic regulated and safe for overseas visitors?

Absolutely.
