Payment Terms, Conditions & Non-Refund Policy

These Payment Terms and Conditions govern all payments made to UK Medicare Screening Ltd for health screening, diagnostic, imaging, laboratory, and related services.

By proceeding with payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

1. Nature of Services Provided

UK Medicare Screening Ltd provides private, elective, preventative, and diagnostic healthcare screening services.

These services are:

  • Planned in advance
  • Resource-intensive
  • Clinically governed

Often involve third-party laboratories, radiology providers, and clinicians

Once initiated, these services cannot be resold, reversed, or repurposed.

2. Pricing Transparency

All fees:

  • Are clearly stated prior to booking
  • Are quoted in GBP (£)
  • May include third-party clinical and diagnostic costs

Prices may vary depending on:

  • Type of screening
  • Diagnostic complexity
  • Clinical reporting requirements
  • Location and partner provider

Once payment is received and confirmed, pricing is fixed for that service.

3. Mandatory Advance Payment

Full payment is required before:

  • Appointment confirmation
  • Dispatch of home testing kits
  • Reservation of diagnostic or imaging slots
  • Allocation of clinical reporting

No service will commence without cleared payment.

4. Legal Basis for Non-Refundability

Under UK consumer law, healthcare services that are:

  • Time-specific
  • Clinically prepared
  • Personalized
  • Involve biological samples or medical diagnostics
  • are exempt from standard cancellation and refund rights once performance has begun or resources have been allocated.

UK Medicare Screening Ltd incurs irrecoverable costs immediately upon booking, including:

  • Laboratory activation
  • Clinical staffing
  • Diagnostic capacity reservation
  • Medical reporting preparation

5. Non-Refund Policy (Strict)

Once payment is made and a booking is confirmed:

This applies to:

  • Screening packages
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Imaging services (MRI, ultrasound, etc.)
  • Health MOTs
  • Home testing kits
  • Add-on tests

This policy applies regardless of:

  • Change of mind
  • Personal circumstances
  • Failure to attend
  • Partial use of services

6. Missed, Late, or Incomplete Appointments

If a client:

  • Fails to attend
  • Arrives too late for safe or effective delivery
  • Does not comply with preparation instructions
  • Is clinically unable to proceed on the day due to undisclosed conditions

The appointment is deemed used, and:

  • No refund is issued
  • No automatic reschedule is guaranteed

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Client-Initiated Cancellations

Cancellations do not qualify for refunds

A one-time reschedule may be offered at our discretion

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance

Rescheduling is:

  • Subject to availability
  • Not guaranteed
  • Non-transferable

8. Home Testing Kits & Sample-Based Services

For services involving:

  • Blood
  • Stool
  • UrineSaliva
  • DNA or microbiome samples

Once a kit is:

  • Dispatched
  • Activated

Or assigned it becomes:
🚫 Non-returnable
🚫 Non-refundable

This is due to:

  • Infection control regulations
  • Chain-of-custody requirements
  • Laboratory governance standards

9. Clinical Appropriateness & Service Withdrawal

If, before service delivery, a clinician determines that a test or scan is clinically inappropriate, UK Medicare Screening Ltd may:

  • Cancel the service
  • Offer an alternative test
  • Issue a partial or full refund at our discretion
  • This decision is:
  • Clinically led
  • Documented
  • Final

10. Provider-Initiated Cancellation

If UK Medicare Screening Ltd is unable to deliver a service due to:

  • Clinical unavailability
  • Equipment failure
  • Staffing constraints
  • Partner provider issues
  • We will offer:
  • A rescheduled appointment or
  • A refund (full or partial, depending on stage of service delivery)

11. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback without prior contact may:

  • Delay or withhold results
  • Trigger an internal investigation
  • Result in refusal of future services
  • False or abusive chargebacks may be contested with evidence, including:
  • Booking confirmation
  • Acceptance of terms
  • Clinical preparation records

12. Limitation of Liability

UK Medicare Screening Ltd is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Missed appointments due to personal circumstances
  • Failure to follow preparation guidance
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service, except where excluded by law.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By completing payment, you confirm that:

  • You understand services are non-refundable
  • You accept the clinical and logistical nature of diagnostic screening
  • You agree to these terms without reservation
  • These terms form part of your legally binding agreement with UK Medicare Screening Ltd.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
