We use an arm cuff to measure both systolic and diastolic pressure. These readings help determine if your blood pressure is too high or too low — both of which are important indicators for heart and circulatory health.
A 6-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) is used to assess your heart’s electrical activity, rhythm, and rate. While not fully diagnostic, it’s highly effective at identifying irregular heartbeats such as atrial fibrillation, a major risk factor for stroke. If we spot any abnormalities, we’ll recommend you follow up with your GP for a more detailed 12-lead ECG.
This test checks for reduced blood flow to your legs, which may be caused by narrowed arteries. Using the Ankle-Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI), we compare blood pressure in your arms and legs. (Note: This test is recommended for ages 40–79 only.)
