Our Early Gender Reveal Test uses cutting-edge cell-free fetal DNA technology to accurately determine your baby’s sex as early as 6 weeks gestation—much earlier than traditional ultrasound methods.

This non-invasive test involves a simple blood draw from the mother, where fetal DNA circulating in her bloodstream is analysed in a specialist laboratory. It’s completely safe for both mum and baby, with accuracy levels over 99% when performed correctly after 6 weeks of pregnancy.

FAQs – Early Gender Reveal Test

How early can I take the test?

You can take this test from 6 weeks of pregnancy. It is crucial that gestational age is calculated from your last menstrual period (LMP) or confirmed via an early ultrasound scan.

How accurate is the test?

The test is >99% accurate when taken at or after 6 weeks gestation, provided the sample is not contaminated and fetal DNA is detectable.

Is the test safe?

Yes. The test is non-invasive, involving only a blood sample from the mother. It poses zero risk to both the baby and the mother.

How are results delivered?

You’ll receive your results via secure email or your online health dashboard within 2 to 4 working days after the lab receives your sample.

Can this test also screen for other conditions?

No. This specific test is designed solely for early gender identification. However, we do offer non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) panels for chromosomal screening.

What if there’s not enough fetal DNA in the sample?

If insufficient fetal DNA is detected (which may happen before 6 weeks or in some individual cases), a free repeat test may be offered.

Can I take the test at home?

For best results, we recommend that the test be carried out at one of our partner clinics or by a trained phlebotomist. Home sample kits may be available upon request, but care must be taken to avoid contamination.
